With profound sadness we announce the passing of Barbara Rae Matthews on February 11th 2026 at the age of 87 surrounded by loved ones. On New Year's Day in 1939 an unforgettable woman was born. With her she brought a light that would transfer to everyone she met. She she was a daughter, sister, wife, and then our mom. She dedicated herself to her family and community of students who loved her dearly. Whatever she took on, she dedicated herself to it with a tenacity like no other. She loved to cook, sew, being the outdoors, and many other things. She will be greatly missed. Care of Barbara has been entrusted to Mountain View Memorial Chapel
