Bonita Kay
Miller
Sep 20, 1957 — May 17, 2025
Myrtle Creek
Bonita Kay Miller, known to everyone as Bonni, passed away on May 17, 2025, at the age of 67. To say Bonni was one of a kind is an understatement—she was a force of nature, full of grit, wit, and a no-nonsense kind of love that left a mark on everyone she met.
Born on September 20, 1957, Bonni spent most of her life raising a family and running a household like a general runs an army. She also worked as an teacher's aide, especially with kids with disabilities—a job she took seriously and did with heart, but always on her terms. She didn't need to say much to get her point across; one look from Bonni could command a room, stop a tantrum, or make someone laugh, depending on her mood.
She and her late husband Bill were quite the duo—traveling the world for lumberjack competitions and riding their motorcycle wherever the road took them. They weren't your typical couple, and Bonni wasn't your typical anything. She loved pandas, Code Red Mountain Dew, a good book, and her family above all else.
Bonni is survived by her son Robin, daughter Heidi, grandchildren Schuyler, Greyson, and River, and sister Kimberly Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents John and Shirley Moore, and her brothers Tom and Brian Moore.
She leaves behind a legacy of strength, independence, fierce love, and unforgettable bossiness. Bonni didn't just live a life—she ran it on her own terms, and those lucky enough to know her won't forget it anytime soon.
A celebration of life for both Bill and Bonni will be held on May 31, 2025 at 1 PM at the home of their daughter, Heidi. For details, please contact the family directly.
