F. Darlene (Kelley, Lydick) Dasey passed away peacefully, holding her only son's hand on Friday March 14th, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Roseburg, Oregon. She was born on March 1at, 1934, at her grandmother's home in Taylor County, Texas. She moved to Los Angeles, California at 8 years old. Shortly after that, her mother passed away when she was 10 years old. She grew up in Southern California, then moved to Oregon after retirement. She loved square dancing, making candies, playing cards, bingo, church and Bible studies, and she just loved people.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence E. Kelley and Bertha Maye (Sandefur) Kelley, her stepmother, Myrna Kelley, her newborn sister, Joyce Merlene Kelley, and her second husband Thomas Dasey.
She is survived by her stepbrother, Keith Foster, half-sister, Linda Rogan; her children Kathleen (Kathy) Miller, Laura (Dave) Smith, Connie (Roger) Mendoza, Teresa (Brett) Bergman, Larry (Shari) Lydick, and stepdaughter, Denise Dasey, 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
There will be a Celebration of Life service for her on Saturday, March 22nd at 2 PM at Azalea Community Church. 362 Upper Cow Creek Rd., Azalea, OR 97410.
